How do I connect Windows Media Player 11 on my HDTV. I have a digital media receiver in the home network.

I deigial media receiver (wireless) connected to the wireless network at home and HDTV. I can share media files to it and watch high definition videos that are stored on the hard drive of my PC without using Windows Media Player 11. I want to see through the Internet Streaming Media Player Windows Media Player 11. However, my receiver does not detect media Window Media Player 11. Need help here. If someone Please help.
