Is this a good computer? and What does a LightScribe DVD SuperMulti Drive / CD-Writer do?

I recently purchased a HP Pavilion Media Center m8100n TV PC AMD LIVE! AMD Athlon “64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600, Windows Vista Home Premium, 3072 MB system memory, 500GB hard drive, SuperMulti DVD burner with LightScribe Technology, and some other things with a built in TV tuner. I have the option to add a Personal Media Drive. I have read all of the information that came with it and I am not sure what it can do. It would be a big help if someone could explain it to me thank for the time.
