Even Microsoft had to admit that there was a problem and in July of 2007 admitted that five percent of all Xbox 360 consoles are freezing up and it is probable that the rest may follow suit. This article is intended to help you to repair your Xbox 360 freezing problem, once and for all.

Overheating is the primary cause of the Xbox 360 freezing problems. When your Xbox heats up enough it causes the graphics processing unit (GPU) to loosen from the motherboard, and the green lights on your console display three of them in flashing red. The overheated motherboard continues to heat up until it begins to vibrate. The vibrating motherboard in turn loosens the solder joints that hold the GPU in connection to the motherboard circuitry, and the Xbox freezing problem occurs.

This article contains information that will help you to deal with Xbox 360 freezing problems, and help you to repair any problems caused by the overheating. First, however, it’s important to dispel a harmful suggestion that many gamers have fallen prey to; wrapping their Xbox 360 in a large towel to fix the problem. This is a terrible idea, and can cause your problem to worsen. In fact, it may damage your system to such an extent that you may lose any opportunity to fix it yourself, and will require Microsoft to repair it. Most of the overheating problems can be fixed using simple tweaks of components. I strongly recommend that before you begin tweaking things, you learn which ones should be tweaked and which ones should not. Get yourself a good repair guide. There are a number of excellent ones available from the Internet. The steps described below indicate the complexity of making repairs to eliminate the Xbox 360 freezing problems, but is not a comprehensive guide. Refer to your repair guide for exact procedures.

 Xbox 360 Freezing Problem Repairs

The steps required to repair your Xbox 360 to prevent freezing up are similar to the following:

1. Remove the outer case. Use a fine tip poker to poke into the grayed out hole and at the back, poke the tiny rectangular holes, and remove the faceplate.
2. Move the latch up on the DVD drive as you gently remove it.
3. Unscrew the metal case located beneath the plastic case.
4. Remove the DVD drive and unplug the cables.
5. Remove the fan and the motherboard.
6. Invert the motherboard and pry off the X-clamp below the heat sink, which is a big silver component with slits, by popping up the corners using the poker.
7. Remove the heat sink to expose the GPU and the CPU.
8. Apply a generous amount of Arctic silver thermal compound onto the GPU, and let it set for fifteen minutes.
9. Place two nylon washers on the heat sink screws and reinstall them into the motherboard.
10. With the screws protruding through the motherboard, place two more nylon washers on the screws.
11. Reattach the heat sink onto the screws and tighten them.
12. Replace all components in the reverse order from that shown above for removal.
13. Turn on the Xbox 360.

Class B misdemeanor of the NCIC?

There are about 11 years in New York who was arrested in a sting. He gave me false information (I was young and stupid!) Fingerprints and remained in the pen for 2 days. I was convicted of crime Class B I have an otherwise clean record. Now I live in Idaho and I would seek a state license NGOs. If I confess the crime he refused immediately, without exception. I know he was wrong anyway. There should have committed the crime and should not be given false information, but for what it's worth, I received in my life. I read that "not serious" crimes not reported to the NCIC. I wonder if this is true and it is possible that I will not be captured.
