Has anyone ever purchased a MSI Laptop Notebook?

What do you think about it? They are so inexpensive with a lot of hard drive memory?

MSI is not always inexpensive. They are a nice brand for gaming laptops. I use their products such as motherboards, etc. and have never had a problem. Good brand.
Think the only downside would be that there probably isn’t a lot of tech support if you need that kind of thing.

sata cd drive?

Hi. My Gigabyte S-Series mainbourd has 4 SATA ports and only one IDE port. My problem is that my current hard drive and cd/dvd drive are both IDE however with only one IDE port I cannot hook both of them to the same port. Where can I get a sata cd/dvd reader/writer drive? The stores in my area are Circuit City / Future Shop, BestBuy, PC Club, CompUSA, among others whom do you recommend I buy the drive from, what brand should I get, and why?

Can you help me please fix my dvd drive?

I have a HP a6109n pavilion with a hp HL-DT-ST GSA-H30L DVDrw/cd rom drive. I can’t play dvds or write them but i can play cds and write them.I had this problem ever since i downgraded to xp. Now i upgraded to vista ultimate hoping to use the firmware update with this computer but i had no luck. Please help me. Thanks

Go to Control Panel > Adminastrative Tools > Computer Management > Device Manager….In this menu will be a list of every peice of hardware installed on the PC/Laptop…..Find the DVD drive, right click, and clck uninstall, once it has uninstalled it will then propt you saying that there is an unregistered device…. re-install the driver and it should be back to normal….if not contact HP….
I had the same problem with my Dell…says it all really, but it worked fine after that…
