Why would pink flowers not grow on the right side of a field when the blue flowers are all over. Hypothesis?

I need to come up with a scientifice hypothesis and experiment. On a scenic drive I noticed that there are pink flowers growing on the left side of field while blue flowers were all over. I noticed a small group of trees in the middle of the field with deer sleeping under them.

There are a few that you could use:

1. Pink flowers were introduced recently, and blue flowers have been around for a long time. The blue flowers have had enough time to spread seeds across the entire area, but the pink flowers are still trying to spread.

2. The pink flowers have different nutrient requirements than the blue flowers, and only that part of the field provides it for them. Maybe whatever is on the edge of the field (a river? a road? more trees?) is providing slightly different nutrient balances, like increased shading, or more nitrogen content in the soil. It could also be that something present in most of the field (maybe a byproduct of deer poop, or a toxic contaminant) is less in that side of the field, and pink flowers are more susceptible to death by that toxin than blue flowers.

3. The animals in the area (like the deer) prefer to eat the pink flowers over the blue flowers, so the pink flowers around the copse of trees have all been eaten, and only that small patch remains.

4. The animals in the area (like the deer) prefer to eat the blue flowers over the pink flowers, which spreads the seeds more quickly.

5. Blue flower seeds can pass safely through the deer’s gut and thus get spread across the entire field, but pink flowers get damaged while passing through the deer.

6. Blue flowers out-compete the pink flowers, so that pink flowers die wherever blue flowers are growing. Their root systems might prevent the pink root systems from growing deep enough to sustain themselves, or they may absorb all of the nutrients that pink needs first.

Note that 3 and 4 are exact opposites of each other, but could create the same result on different time scales and in slightly different situations. For example, if both were introduced at the same time, and deers preferred blue flowers but don’t eat many of them, #4 makes sense. On the other hand, if deers absolutely love pink flowers and eat them all of the time, it could explain why you don’t see many, even though they were, at one point, growing across the entire field. That explains #3.

Also, this may not just be about deer. There is an entire ecosystem present in the field and the surrounding area. A different animal could be eating the flowers and causing this imbalance of flower color.

SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

When I bought my machine, Dell has a sale that involved an instant rebate of $ 350 to all latitudes, sweeteners, offer a little more. I set the machine in the Dell website Small Busines. Almost all components of the machine is highly configurable, as IBM / Lenovo and HP could learn from and experience of shopping online is generally very pleasant. After pressing the trigger, I realized I did not select Bluetooth card. I called Dell Small Business and requested them to add the card. The total price for my Dell Latitude D820 (after adding the Bluetooth card) was $ 1496.25, which I think is a good idea, especially since the latitude line rarely leaves the sale.

First impressions

Where, first, the D820 unpacked from its packaging styrofoam, I was impressed by the solidity of its construction. He felt strong and the housing of the laptop does not flex when handled. Point is called the body of magnesium alloy, and most laptop looks like. The computer was thin as I expected, but was a little heavier than I thought it would. Heft is not uncomfortable, but that implies a certain quality construction. At first glance, the laptop is not impressive, but it is pleasing to the eye with a charcoal gray finished discreet. Build & Design

The D820 has a housing of magnesium alloy which is supposed to protect the notebook from bending and wear business travel and use. While the bottom and lid of the laptop feel like metal, but unfortunately the wrist rests are plastic. For there is a certain amount of flex when handling this material, but in no case affect the amount of flex. The rest of the laptop however, is very rigid.
Screen
The screen is probably the Achilles heel of the D820, if any. The screen is 15.4 inches diagonal and is matte, not shiny. The trend in most consumer notebooks is towards the screen glossy that have bright colors and brightness higher earnings for the games, watching movies and viewing pictures. Most desktop machines, however, always come with screens old style mast which are more suited for office rather than multimedia tasks. Unfortunately, the matte screen is not very D820 gloss and higher brightness settings drain the battery quickly. An interesting feature is the automatic light sensor that adjusts brightness screen according to ambient lighting conditions. This is useful when you use the battery or when you use the keypad letters in contexts different, but I ended up making this feature, which often results in a screen unacceptably weak.
My D820 came with the screen WSXGA + (1680×1050) screen. Other options are the basis of WXGA + (1280×800) projector and ultra-high resolution WUXGA (1900×1200). I'm used to WSXGA + resolution on my Dell monitor and I chose him because I thought it was a good balance between screen real estate and readability of fonts and icons. Could have gone with the highest resolution and increasing the DPI and font size of Windows (in fact, the WSXGA + and WUXGA models Boat with 120 DPI setting box), but other browsers and applications are not fixed in the Windows settings. I changed the configuration from 120dpi to 96dpi because it makes Windows fonts are too big and leg graphics on web pages. I think I made the right decision because the screen WUXGA has fonts and icons too small even for small eyes.
